MMPA Launches Updated Association Portal
Thu, May 20, 2010 — The Minnesota Magazine and Publishing Association (MMPA) today launched their updated web portal as part of the 2010 MMPA Summit and Expo in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
The new MMPA.net, designed by Minneapolis web design company (and and member/association Platinum sponsor) Plaudit Design, represents the latest evolution of the association's online presence. The website will engage the diverse communities found in the MMPA – from helping members with professional development, encouraging association involvement, and creating opportunities for members to connect with one another. Features of the site include:
- Integration to the MMPA Twitter feed (@FriendsofMMPA)
- Directories featuring member companies, freelancers, sponsors and vendors
- Interactive event calendar
- News and articles
- MMPA newsletter archives
- Job Board
The site also offers visitors opportunities to sign up for volunteer positions with the association, and submit articles to FinePrint, the MMPA's own publication. OpenX ad service allows sponsors and advertisers a chance to connect with the MMPA community.
Michael Schlotfeldt, Vice President at Plaudit Design, says that the company is pleased to have partnered with MMPA on this site redevelopment project. “We enjoy working with organizations like the MMPA. It's interesting to help them increase member involvement with intuitive, feature rich websites that help fulfill engagement objectives.”
Plaudit Design will be an exhibitor at the MMPA Summit and Expo today in Minnetonka.
The Minnesota Magazine and Publishing Association (MMPA) is the organization for magazine and publishing professionals. It serves as a resource and a voice for magazine publishing in Minnesota, while advancing and recognizing the professional development of its members.
