e-Memories Multimedia CD-ROM

Background

e-Memories is a web-based program offering people an easy way to share photos and videos with friends and family. C I Host, the providers of the e-Memories service, needed to spread the word about their new service. So we were asked to create a CD to present an overview of the benefits of e-Memories.

Objectives

The presentation had to be attractive, and it had to mirror the overall feel of the e-Memories product. The e-Memories system had a very family-friendly image and the presentation needed to reflect that.

A unique goal of the project was that it needed to be completed in a week. We would need to figure out how to make an interesting presentation as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality.

Solution

By using a soothing color scheme and carefully chosen imagery, we created a comfortable feel. This helped reach the target audience of families by demonstrating the product in a very personal way. We also used music to contribute to the mood, resulting in a powerful presentation.

We used a selection of stock photography and stock music not only to create the mood we wanted, but to speed up the project. By spending time early in the project, we knew exactly what we wanted to do throughout development and we were able to deliver the project on time. The client was so pleased, we were asked to create version two of the e-Memories software, a retail box design, and promotional materials.
