C I Host Corporate Identity

Background

C I Host had been pleased with their logo, but wanted to expand and reinvent their identity. They wanted a softer, more welcoming feel while incorporating their existing identity elements.

Objectives

Since we needed to incorporate existing identity elements, we were a little more limited in what we would be able to do. The colors that C I Host used were a dark blue, and a bold orange. To get the feel C I Host was looking for, we would need to use softer colors for the rest of the identity applications. The logo was a circle, so we would try to incorporate the circle into the design.

Solution

To incorporate the circle and soften the feel at the same time, we used flowing forms that were visually soothing. We tried to use light shades of blue along with the darker blue in order to take the edge off of the bold colors.

A subtle element used were other large circles connected by curving lines. These were also light blue and were intended to symbolize the online network aspect of C I Host and its services.
